Christmas 2019 Terms of Use

These Terms and Conditions prevail in the event of any conflict or inconsistency with any other communications, including advertising or promotional materials. Entry instructions are deemed to form part of the terms and conditions and by entering this promotion all participants will be deemed to have accepted and be bound by the terms and conditions.  Please retain a copy for your information. The personal data provided by entrants will be used by the Promoter for the purpose of conducting the promotion, in accordance with the Data Protection Act 2018 and the Promoter’s Privacy Policy (available at - From time to time, the Promoter may share entrants’ personal data with their agents/representatives to assist with administering the promotion, contacting entrants (as necessary) and/or fulfilling the prize(s).

1. Only open to UK Independent & Symbol Group retailers aged 18 or over who are on the Star Retailer scheme at Bronze, Silver or Gold level (“Retailers”) in England, Scotland or Wales, and excludes any person or retailer whom, in the Promoter’s reasonable opinion, should be excluded due to their involvement or connection with this promotion.

2. There are three possible entry routes.

2.1 Entry Route 1: Retailers that provide their email address to a REACH Field Sales executive, acting on behalf of Heineken UK Limited (“Field Sales Executives”) between 1 November 2019 and 31 December 2019 will qualify for an entry into the prize draw.

2.2 Entry Route 2: Retailers that obtain a T-stacker from a Field Sales Executive and stack full with at least two of Heineken 12x300ml bottle, Foster’s 10x440ml can, Strongbow Original 10x440ml can, Strongbow Dark Fruit 10x440ml can, Amstel 12x300ml bottle and Birra Moretti 12x330ml bottle (the “Products”) between 1 November 2019 and 31 December 2019 will qualify for an entry into the prize draw. Entry will be made by the Field Sales Executive capturing an image of the full T-stacker and sending it to the Promoter.

2.3 Entry Route 3: Retailers that enter via the route set out in condition 3 between 1 November 2019 and 30 November 2019 who continue to display a T-stacker full of the Products between 1 December 2019 and 31 December 2019 will qualify for an additional entry into the prize draw. Entry will be made by the Field Sales Executive capturing an image of the full T-stacker and sending it to the Promoter.

3. Each Retailer may enter no more than once per each entry route.

4. The prize is a cash prize of £3,000.

5. There will be three winners. Winners will be the first valid entry drawn at random from all qualifying entries for each of the three regions of North (Glasgow, Edinburgh, Newcastle, Middlesbrough, Preston, Leeds, Manchester, Sheffield and Liverpool), Midlands (Stoke on Trent, Birmingham, Cheltenham, South Wales, Northampton, Nottingham, Peterborough and Oxford) and South (London, Chelmsford, Reading, Exeter, Portsmouth, and Sussex). The draw will be made on 10 January 2020 and the winner will be contacted by email within 5 working days. If the winner cannot be contacted within 5 working days, the Promoter reserves the right to re-draw and select a new winner (and so on until a winner can be contacted who will take up the prize). 

6. Payment of the prize will be made to the winning Retailers within 30 days of the winners being drawn.

7. The winners will be announced on the Star Retailer website and via direct communications in week commencing 13 January 2020, followed by a feature in the trade press. By entering, all entrants consent to such information being disclosed.

8. The decision of the Promoter in all matters is final and binding and no correspondence will be entered into.

9. The Promoter is not responsible for any third party acts or omissions.

10. The Promoter reserves the right to cancel or amend this promotion due to events or circumstances arising beyond its control.

11. All taxes (including without limitation national and local taxes) in connection with the prize, and the reporting consequence thereof, are the sole responsibility of the winners. The Promoter takes no responsibility for any accounting consequences which arise in connection with the prize.

12. These rules and any dispute or difference arising out of or in connection with them shall be governed by and construed in accordance with English law. The Promoter and each entrant irrevocably agrees to submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Courts of England and Wales over any claim or matter arising under or in connection with these rules or the legal relationships established by this agreement.
